i just got two movies we could watch durring one of the initial meetings durring the week or for the sunday meeting.
Ghost in the Shell: Solid Slate Society: This is a OVA sequal to the stand alone complex series. two years have passed since the Major has left Section nine. There is a new threat facing the web in the form of forced suicides/ child abductions/ old people that are f**ked up zombies. awesome movie, was shown on scifi channel's animonday program.
And Highlander: The search for vengance. Crappy title i know, but holy shit this is an awesome anime. its made by the guy who did ninjascroll. If you arent familiar with highlander, imortals are among us and are trying to behead eachother to try to get other immortals knowledge. the animation in this anime is outstanding. you dont need to know about the highlander franchise to understand this movie kicks ass. Edit: it should be noted this movie has scenes of brief nudity as well as the obligitory "intimacy" scene found in every single highlander movie.

I'm having Danni look into getting me all of Mai HiME on DVD. I'd probably classify it as Shoujo, but it really has something for everyone: humor, action, story, characters, fan service, angst, robots, etc. You laugh, you cry, you watch things fight.

Could someone find out if Ginban Kaleidoscope is licensed? ^^;; thanks. Danni and I were thinking of showing it, but neither of us know, and I don't know where to go to find licensing info.
