Aight, so what was your first anime?
Mine was... Sailor Moon... keep in mind, I had no idea what anime was at the time. I just thought it was just a really cool looking cartoon. I didn't learn anything about it till I started taping the Sci-fi channel's "Saturday Anime" block.

I'd have to say Digimon. It was my first, and still one of my favorite. Hell, I own the first two seasons on DVD now. Go me!

Astroboy on tv in the 80s, altho I didn't know it at the time. As far as first one that I knew of, it was either Akira or Ninja Scroll.

My "gateway anime" was either Pokémon or Sailor Moon. I think I started watching both of them at the same time. However, my girlfriends and I loved Sailor Moon. We even went so far as to choose who we would be, and play as them at the babysitter's house every day. . . .I was Makoto Kino. ^_^

Really it's probably our generation. Not to say Jay's too far from it, but I mean our TV Generation's are a little different.
I first saw Sailor Moon when I was in Third Grade... which was like... I can't do math... 11 years ago. That was definitely my first. That was when I became an ani-pervert too. Well, however perverted you can be as a third grader. My friend Chuck and I claimed a certain sailor scout for our own. I was all over Venus, I think he liked Mars.
First anime I've ever bought was Magic Knight Rayearth. I thought the dvd summary made it seem like a video game spoof, but it turns out... yeah no it wasn't. But that's how I got to be where I am now.

Oh yeah, Sailor Moon's the constant as far as firsts around here. But at the same time, I was on DBZ stuff too. My favorite senshi was Jupiter...until the outers came into the scene.
Uranus is love. Holy whoa.
Still, though, Gentle Uterus=best attack ever XD

HA! I get to be different. I have never watched Sailor Moon. Now the live action drama of Pretty Gardian Sailor Moon is a diferent story. hehe. *waves at kristin*
I'm with Miles here. My first one that got me into the anime scene was Digimon Adventures. Ah memories. But I guess if you want to be technical it the first one I really watched could be considered Samurai Pizza Cats. Anybody else watch that when they were younger?

Yeah, I saw Samurai Pizza Cats (for the brief while it was on). I remember their names vaguely... Polly Esther, Guido... something, and Speedy Cervichi? I think... I remember there were some hilarious comments about the gun thing that they got shot out of. And the super weapon... I remember that, too.

Guido Anchovi, I do believe. Man I'm a dork. Hehe. I loved that show. I'd watch it every morning while getting ready for school.

I heart that show. It'd be great to actually own the dvd of it.
According to a quick search in the wiki, there is a dvd out there somewhere.
Danni could find it, I'm sure.
Nyuhu~ Polly Esther, Guido Anchovy, and Speedy Cerviche (Service!) Yay wiki.
There's a lotta characters listed that I dont remember. Holy crap.

InuYasha, though I admit it was horrible on AdultSwim, I didn't own any anime at the time. It was good, nonetheless. =\
